"Climate change should be seen as the greatest
challenge to face man and treated as a much
bigger priority in the United Kingdom."

The Ozone Layer
The stratosphere lies 15 to 30 miles above the earth and Ozone is one of the gases present in this broad band.  Though it forms a very small part of stratosphere due to its capacity to prevent sun’s ultra violet rays from reaching us the Ozone layer is very very important as exposure to too many ultra violet rays can lead to skin cancer.  Over exposure to ultra violet rays can also destroy plankton which is a very important microscopic life in the sea.  The fact that holes have appeared in Ozone layer above the Antarctic and Arctic is a matter of great concern.
Let us all contribute in whatever small way we can – it may be just growing small plants in your home, or preferring public transport or cycle to office, or let your clothes dry on a clothes line instead of using a dryer or saving natural forests, lakes…..any small contribution from each one of us will go a long way to save the planet at least as it is and hand it over to our future generations. It is a gift given to us by God and it is our responsibility to preserve it and pass it on.
